If You
Listen You Will Hear It
The cocks’ crow
The wind blow
The airplane flying
high in the sky
The builders working
on buildings nearby
The buzzing of a
humble bee
The silence, even in
a noisy city
The shattering,
breaking of glass, what a pity
Voices from the
neighbours next door
Footsteps moving over
the wooden floor
The rain falling on
the window sill
You can hear all
these things if you would just sit still
Sit still and
breathe, a breath of fresh air
Close your eyes,
relax, let your heart give a silent cheer
Clear your mind from
all thoughts
Let the silence fill
your heart
“I love you, you know
it; but I have given you a choice
A choice to accept my
love and live
A choice to reject it
and die in your sin”
If you really listen
you will hear all this and more
The Saviour calling,
beckoning you to come home
